If I find something entertaining, it will get posted here, hence the title "What Entertains Me". And yes, I'm very sarcastic, so get over that before you read it. Anything from television, politics, weather, food, music...anything that strikes me as funny will be discussed.

My Pen Obsession
When my job used to be more editorial and less paper-pusher in nature, I had a collection of colored pens that would astound most anyone. You name the color, I had it. When there were 6 different people making comments on hard copy, having something besides red, blue, or black was a necessity. So, I found myself some purple, hot pink, and even orange fine-tipped pens to do the trick. Now that I do most of my editing in Adobe Acrobat, my pen collection has dwindled to just a few colors. And, sadly, I don't get to use them much. So I find myself taking my purple, pink, and orange pens to meetings, just so that I get some use out of my collection...and so they don't feel left out, heh (kidding!).

Retracting "Argh!"
Okay, I'm still upset that my company has been put up for sale, but I can't really blame them (too much) for how we found out about it. Seems the The Wall Street Journal scooped the news about the sale, and pulled a fast one on the higher-ups at my company, who were bound by SEC rules not to say a word about the sale.
I bet the folks who wrote the article gave themselves a high-five about it, but I bet they have no idea the impact it had on those of us who work here. Or if they did, they didn't care about the thousands of people who suddenly were faced with the possibility of not having a job in 6-12 months. Makes me like journalists a little less when I'm the one who's being affected.
