The Things You'll Find in Second Life

While I was buying some furniture for my new house I share with my partner in Second Life, I bought what I thought was a side table. Turns out, it was a side table complete with Catholic bibles for display. Um, thanks...but no thanks! I mean, I don't mind the Bible...I have a copy of it myself in real life. But I don't have it prominently displayed in my house. It's there more for reference...or in my case, looks, as I don't refer to it very often (it's on one of my bookshelves, collecting dust). My dad's a walking Bible anyway (retired Episcopal priest, probably should have taught seminary), so I haven't really needed to. So I find it ironic that I now have a Bible display table in Second Life. Heh.
