Yesterday, I watched one of the managers of my department go down in flames trying to set up some video conferencing equipment. The end result was us having one of those old-fashioned teleconferences. Perhaps if we had had video conferencing equipment from Lifesize.com, we might not have had the technical difficulties that she faced. The idea of HD video conferencing appeases my geeky gadget-freak mind, I must say. Having only participated in one video conference, I think a widescreen with clear, crisp digital sound would have been much better than the grainy camera and rather unclear sound we had sometimes.
